Entrants

All entrants for individual categories must be Professional members of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) prior to entry. Membership must be current throughout the 2024 Awards process and paid in full. 

All entrants for company categories must be part of a company in the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) membership prior to entry. Membership must be current throughout the 2024 Awards process and paid in full.

Entrants must not be subject to an investigation by the REC, such an investigation may result in removal from the entrant, shortlist or winners lists.

The REC reserves the right to remove any entrant if it deems that there is reputational risk by not doing so.

Entries

Entries will not be accepted for shortlisting or judging unless they have used the correct process of providing the required information and any supporting information, within the deadlines laid out by the REC. We regret that entries cannot be returned once submitted.

The maximum entry length for each answer is 300 words. For specific category entry criteria, please refer to the individual categories.

Entries should refer to evidence from the period July 2023 to June 2024 only. Financial evidence can be provided for full annual year Jan – Dec 2023 and part year Jan – June 2024. Evidence provided outside of these dates will not be evaluated as part of the judging process.

All information submitted as an entry, or part of an entry, may be included in any materials for the Awards, either at the Awards ceremony or as supporting materials regarding the event at a later date.

One or more category can be entered, but where fees are applicable a fee must be paid for each category entered. All fees for category entries must have been received prior to the shortlisting to be considered.

An overview of material submitted as an entry, or part of an entry, may be included in any materials produced by the REC at a later date. If you have any concerns about the inclusion of financial figures, statistics and personal names please contact a member of the REC Awards Team on awards@rec.uk.com for support.

Judging

The judges reserve the right to re-categorise entries if they think another category would be more suitable. This practice is not common, and so cannot be assumed as normal practice.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony as published by the REC. Please note the, judges’ decision is final.

REC Awards event booking

This event is exclusively for REC Award entrants, their associates, and event sponsors. REC reserves the right to decline bookings from ineligible parties.

Payment is due at the time of booking in order to secure your place at the REC Awards event. Please ensure you have booked the correct and valid ticket or table. Failure to do so may result in late allocation of the ticket or table. You will receive a receipted vat invoice once the payment has been processed. Non-payment may result in refusal of entry to the event.

There will be a booking limit of two tables per recruitment business/group, until all shortlistees have booked. REC reserves the right to decline additional bookings made before this time.

This event will be run in line with government guidance relating to Covid-19.

Cancellations/Transfers

If circumstances change and the original delegate can no longer attend, we are very happy for you to send someone else providing you inform us in writing within 5 working days prior to the event.

Cancellations will only be accepted in writing within 10 working days before the event, cancellations received after this deadline will not qualify for a refund.

Please note that for Platinum table bookings, cancellation requests can only result in a full refund given a calendar month's notice due to the hotel room bookings we will have made on your behalf. Cancellations received after this deadline, and before 10 days of the event, would be partial refunds only. 

Code of conduct:

We want everyone to feel welcome and safe at our events which is why we have a zero-tolerance approach to any behaviour that does not meet our expectations. Our events are professional settings and we expect all attendee conduct to reflect this – for the protection of our team, our members and the reputation of the industry.

When you attend one of our events you have the right to expect to be treated fairly and with respect, in an environment which is free from harassment, including sexual harassment, bullying and all forms of unacceptable behaviour. If for any reason your experience does not meet these expectations we will take your feedback extremely seriously.

We reserve the right to remove or refuse entry to anyone whose behaviour is out of line with our code of conduct.

Force Majeure (unforeseeable events)

We make every possible attempt to run this event, however we do reserve the right to cancel any event at any time. Unfortunately we cannot be held liable for any costs incurred by delegates.

The REC authorises you to view and download the materials on this website (“site”) only for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained in the original materials on any copies of the materials. Publicity

Professional photography and video production will be taking place at the REC Awards 2024, and these images may be used on future promotional materials for REC events. Please note that by attending the Awards, you are giving your consent for your image to be used on any REC promotional materials and publications.

By participating in the REC Awards, participants agree to take part in post-event publicity which may include interviews, photography and/or filming for REC internal communications, local and/or national media. The REC reserves the right to use any such photographs or videos in future promotional materials.

By taking part in the REC Awards as an entrant or attending the event, you are deemed to have given your consent. If you do not give your consent to be used by the REC, you must notify the REC in writing, at the submission point of your entry or when the event booking is made, of any express objections. In the event that you raise any objections to the use of any supporting entry material or images in which you are featured, the REC will remove these from its website and refrain from any future use of it. The REC cannot undertake to remove from circulation any printed materials already in use.
