We want to get our GDPR responsibilities right so we want to tell you what we will be doing with your data. REC has teamed up with Evessio to provide the online platform for REC Awards. Evessio is an event technology specialist that will help organise our Awards from start to finish, from taking your entry online, the judging process and managing your Awards dinner bookings.

To reassure you, Evessio commits to respect GDPR when collaborating with event organisers. Your password will be cryptographically hashed and never stored in plain on any system. Data uploaded to their system (ie your entries) is done so over a securely encrypted SSL channel and stored in their cloud hosting provider (Amazon Web Services). Payments taken for any company category entries and/or Awards dinner bookings are done through REC's own merchant account with Stripe, and no data is taken by Evessio.

As per your rights under GDPR you may request your data to be removed and accounts deleted at any time by emailing REC and requesting the deletion. (Please note though that if you ask us to delete your personal data before the Awards, we will not be able to consider you for the shortlist).
